A retreat built around weather.

A coastal retreat where arrival, landscape and slow rituals set the pace.

The view changes the room

A room beside the sea is never completely still. Reflections move across the ceiling, weather changes the colour of a wall and the horizon can disappear in a moment. We used those ordinary events as the subject of a retreat story rather than relying on a catalogue of amenities.

The photographs move between inhabited details and empty spaces. A folded blanket, a cup left near a window and the shape of a chair suggest a stay without prescribing how it should feel.

Making the practical feel natural

A hospitality website has two jobs: help someone imagine being there and make a visit straightforward to arrange. Neither job benefits from a page that is beautiful but difficult to read. Room information belongs close to the images that explain it.

We planned a rhythm of wide views, intimate details and short useful passages. Longer notes about the surrounding coast can live in the journal, while essential information remains easy to find on the destination pages.

A seasonal way of publishing

The identity does not depend on a single perfect summer photograph. A new set of winter images can lead the page, while the underlying navigation and booking information stay familiar. That makes the website useful between campaigns as well as during a launch.

This concept explores how Iceland 26 can support an independent retreat: clear project information, a flexible gallery and a journal for walks, food and observations from the surrounding landscape.
